Linkwood 2011 Patricius Tokaji Finish Wilson & Morgan 46% ABV

A fascinating, experimental release from independent bottler Wilson & Morgan. The team took Linkwood’s fruity floral whisky and finished it for two years in an ex-Patricius Tokaji cask! The rare barrels were sourced via the company’s Hungarian importer, and they’ve resulted in a rather beautiful whisky. Just 1,197 bottles have been released.

Tasting note:

Nose: A fiesta of fruit, with citrus notes coming through alongside peaches, dates, raisins and a milk chocolate quality.

Palate: Incredibly juicy and mouth-watering with a waxy texture, there’s honey, Fruit Salad sweets, white pepper and delicate florals.

Finish: Long and gently warming.
