Mortlach 21 Year Old / 1999 / Special Releases 2020 / 56.9% / 70cl

Nose: Some mellow creamy tones, rich, dried fruits, fresh baked sponge cake, lemon drizzle, some zesty lime and orange notes flow with ease across the nose with a rich savoury tone adding to the complexity of this Speyside single malt.

Palate: A nice kick on the front of the palate that surprises you at first, sweet chilly and dark brooding sherry like notes, rich caramel and dark homey with a touch of ginger, malt loaf, dried forest fruits, Some dried spices and a touch of wafers with maple syrup in the lingering finish

The balance between fruit and savoury tones show this is a great single malt that works perfectly after dinner.
