Glentauchers 1990 / G&M Upper Connoisseurs Choice / 50.4% / 70cl

Distilled in 1990 this is a cask strength 50.4% vol single malt from the Glentauchers distillery in Speyside.

Nose: With a rich fruity sweet citrus opening, some springtime grass and soft vanilla, barley sugar twist and soft pine notes, crisp nutty and rich aromatics come into play as this dram opens in the glass.

Palate: A tangy yet smooth start on the front of the palate, nutty with hints of crushed almonds, pepper and candied orange peel, a warming creamy vanilla and honey like tone, hints of lemon cheesecake and pistachio.

A very enjoyable dram that gives balance across the palate.
