Dufftown - Glenlivet  8 Years Old Pure Malt Label 40% Vol 70cl 1970’s label

Long before the term single malt was used to indicate authentic whisky from the distillery on the label, it was also a name used for what we know today as blended malt so it’s easy to see how some get confused by the name Pure Malt, this is a true single malt

Nose: Mellow honey and toffee, some sweet spices and a touch of toasted oak, vanilla and cereal bars with a honey d lemon drizzle.

Palate: Shortbread and burnt caramel adds a really nice catch to the palate, biscotti biscuits, cheesecake base and toasted marshmallow, fresh pancakes and milky coffee, candied banana and orange peel, with a lingering rich finish.
