Highland Park 25 Year Old - 2022 Release 46% ABV

A wonderfully crafted, beautifully aged Highland Park release created from only 12 casks. The recipe? Five first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and then five totally unseasoned American oak hogsheads! They’ve all been married together by Highland Park’s master whisky-maker, Gordon Motion. An elegant, refined expression from the celebrated Orkney distillery.

Tasting note:

Nose: Gently warming with sweet spices, the nose brings honeyed violets and sweet coconut with sandalwood and a hint of floral smoke.

Palate: Fruit-forward with juicy satsumas, lychees and apricots, wrapped up in more coconut, ground coffee beans, and that heather peat.

Finish: The peat smoke lingers on and on, with the addition of charred rosemary.
