The Rusty Cauldron 11 Year old 54% Vol 

Matured in Refill Sherry Butts then finished in First fill Lafite Wine Barriques     

A great mix of casks has added a real depth to this Islay single malt from Caol Ila 

Nose: Definitely coastal and some rich dry sweet fruits, smouldering embers with a little linoleum and a touch of virgin olive oil. Becoming funky as this amazing dram opens in the glass, peoples on the beach and brown bread. 

Palate: Sweet wine notes at the front, sherry notes in the middle with a rich underlying soft smoke, some barbecued meats with a hint of peppers and dry spice, this dram shift from the palate to the nose again as it warms up across the palate, coastal sweet rock, ruby chocolate with pink pepper corns and Himalayan rock salt over strawberries. 

A superb example of Islay.
